Judge Bob returns to the winner’s circle at Rosecroft

Ft. Washington, MD — It’s rare for Judge Bob to go five races without a win at Rosecroft. Heading into Wednesday night’s (March 10) $11,000 Open Handicap Trot, the 21-time winner had the rail, meaning he had earned the least amount of money in the field of eight over his last four starts.

Wednesday night, the losing streak came to end, as Jonathan Roberts and Judge Bob asserted first-over pressure on leader Explosive Drama down the backside and while the leader made a break under pressure, Judge Bob raised the gavel and held off Luckycompeter and Skyway Cobra to return to his favorite winner’s circle in 1:56.

The 6-year-old son of Great George Two is owned by trainer Megan Roberts and Graham Grace Stable. It was Roberts’ meet leading 13th training win, while her brother has a meet leading 29 driving wins. Judge Bob now has a smashing 49-14-14-7 record at Rosecroft for his career.

Roberts also had victories with Lyons Javelin and Lima Illusion, who picked up her first win since 2019.

Jason Thompson, Jared Moyer, and John Wagner each had two wins on the card.
