Ft. Washington, MD — Driver John Wagner swept both featured events on Wednesday night (March 31) as Skyway Cobra took the Open Trot and Bet You Im Rockin took the Open Mares Pace at Rosecroft.

Skyway Cobra, the 4-5 favorite, went right to the top and fought off Luckycompeter, Puddin N Pie and Judge Bob to win in 1:56.1. Arlene Cameron owns and trains the 8-year-old son of Here Comes Herbie who won for the second time in six starts in 2021 and took his career earnings over $200,000.

Meanwhile, in the very next race, Bet You Im Rockin sat the pocket behind Jive Dancing A, who cut fractions of :26, :55.2, and 1:23, but could not hold off the fresh Rockin Amadeus mare, who won for the fourth time in 2021 and in a new lifetime best 1:51 on a track labeled ‘good.’ Wagner owns and trains the winner who has been on the board in eight of nine this year.

Russell Foster drove four winners, while Jonathan Roberts and Jason Thompson each had two. Megan Roberts and Trevor Stafford each had two training wins.

Rosecroft will be dark Easter Sunday, but race Monday night at 7:15 p.m.
