Cash Me Out converts at Saratoga

Saratoga Springs, NY — Cash Me Out has been winning top-level events at Saratoga Casino Hotel for years. The 10-year-old son of Cash Hall was at it again Tuesday afternoon (June 29), going coast-to-coast as the 3-5 favorite in the $14,000 Open Trot.

The Kyle Spagnola trainee worked hard in the early going, making the lead in a :27.1 first quarter. After reaching the half in :57, Cash Me Out traveled largely unopposed through three-quarters in 1:26.2. A first-over Brady Bunch (Steve Genois) fought gamely but proved to be no match for Cash Me Out, who stopped the timer in 1:55.2 to record a new seasonal mark in his sixth win of the year. Brady Bunch toughed out a second-place finish while Exarch (Jimmy Devaux), who won the previous two editions of the Open Trot, closed to finish third.

Cash Me Out, whom Phil Fluet piloted for owner Mike Traylor, has earned over $1.26 million in his career.

Live racing at Saratoga continues Wednesday (June 30) with first post time at 12 noon. The Pick-6 jackpot sits at $4,076 and the Super Hi-5 jackpot is $6,926.
