List of Mares Bred reports due Sept. 1

Columbus, OH — Standing a stallion? Don’t forget to submit your List of Mares Bred (LOMB) to the USTA by Sept. 1 to get the cheapest rate possible. Submissions postmarked by Sept. 1 are $5/mare; late submissions cost $10/mare.

The LOMB creates the mating certificates which, until released by the stallion owner, will prevent a foal registration from completing; this is the stallion owner’s assurance that the stud fee is paid.

Mating certificates are held electronically unless they are specifically asked to be mailed at the time of submission; certificates will be mailed to the first listed owner of the stallion.

Stallion owners can submit a LOMB in various ways:

— via Online Services
— on a LOMB submission form, which can be mailed, emailed or faxed in to the USTA office
— by emailing an Excel, comma- or tab-delimited file (there are stringent requirements for these files to be submitted)

More information about submitting a LOMB can be found on the Breeding page of the USTA website. Questions can also be directed to Member Services at 877.800.8782 or by emailing memberservices@ustrotting.com.
