Yearlings sired by USA stallions top German yearling sale

The three most expensive yearlings sold at the annual German Derbysale held in Berlin were sired by Walner, Tactical Landing, and International Moni.

Speedrise Lady S, sired by Walner and out of Smexi, by Explosive Matter, 3,1:53.3f ($506,810) was sold for 70,000 Euro or $82,000.

Comand and Conquer S, a colt sired by Tactical Landing and out of Crazy Wild Desire, by Deweycheatumnhowe, 3,1:56.3s ($17,227) and a filly, South Carolina AS, sired by International Moni out of Slightly Tipsy, by Conway Hall, 4,1:54.2s ($171,544), both sold for 60,000 Euro or $70,300.

The average price for 58 yearlings sold at the sale was 17,379 Euro — or $20,375.
