Columbus, OH – The second annual #SendItIn Invitational is Saturday (Aug. 28) at Eldorado Scioto Downs and the Ohio breds are looking to capitalize on home field advantage.

Gold Digger King is a 5-year-old by Pet Rock out of the Panspacificflight mare Hope For Pot Gold. He has been trained his entire career by Scott Mogan, who lives just 15 minutes south of Scioto. Gold Digger King is 20 for 58 lifetime, with 11 wins in 38 lifetime starts at Scioto Downs. Brett Miller picks up the drive on Gold Digger King for owner Linda Van Camp and looks to make the most of the gelding’s top form and best post position (four) in his last six starts. As a fine wine, Gold Digger King keeps getting better with age – his lifetime mark of 1:49.2 was taken this year.

“He keeps getting bigger and stronger each year and has developed into a really nice aged horse.” said Mogan.

Ocean Rock is just a 4-year-old but has a win in the $300,000 Ohio Sire Stakes Final and a second in the $250,000 Carl Milstein under his belt as a 3-year-old. This year, he was timed in 1:47.3, finishing second to #SendItIn race favorite Catch The Fire (Trevor Smith) two months ago. In his last six starts, he has finished 1-2 in five of them, including his lifetime best 1:48.1 at Northfield Park on Au. 14 in the Myron Charna Invitational. The husband and wife, driver-trainer team of Dan and Christi Noble send Ocean Rock out of post nine for owner-breeder Sandra Burnett. The son of Rockin Amadeus has $611,622 in earnings going into Saturday’s race.

Sectionline Bigry only has five starts so far in 2021, but if the 6-year-old minds his manners, he could be the sleeper in the race. His last start of 2020 was on Halloween night in the Breeders Crown at Hoosier Park.  He qualified back at Hoosier just shy of eight months later and his first start back was in the Open at Scioto where he was timed in 1:50.1. Also by Pet Rock, out of the Cambest mare Aquatic Yankee, Sectionline Bigry is owned by Harold Lee Bauder and trained by his brother Steve. Sectionline Bigry leaves from post three with Tyler Smith up and will go over $600,000 in career earnings with at least a fourth-place finish.

Scioto will hold a Last Man Standing Handicapping Contest in conjunction with the #SendItIn Invitational. Participants must be on track and will receive a #SendItIn t-shirt while supplies last. The grand prize winner will score a $250 wagering voucher and dinner for two at Eldorado Scioto Downs with the Captain of the #SendItIn Army himself, Gabe Prewitt.

Saturday evening is also playing host to The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association Charity Night at the Races. Twenty charities, 10 each in races four and nine, were drawn a horse to root for. Depending on how the horse finishes in the race determines how much money the charity will receive. Interviews with all participating charities will be conducted during the live racing program and on-track patrons can visit with the charities to learn more about their mission.
