Face Time Bourbon’s first crop sells for an average of $89,300

Europe’s best trotter, Face Time Bourbon, had 23 yearlings from his first crop at the Arqana Trot Selected Sales in Deauville this week.

Some 14 of them sold for an average price of $89,300, which was the second-highest average at the sale.

Only the sire of Face Time Bourbon, Ready Cash, was more expensive, as 18 of his yearlings were sold for an average of $114,000.

The most expensive Face Time Bourbon yearling was the colt Kirghize Speed, who sold for $202,000.

The most expensive yearling sold in Deauville was the Swedish colt Knight Moves, sired by Ready Cash and bred in partnership by Jerry Riordan, who was sold for $273,000.

In total, 327 of 515 yearlings who went through the ring were sold for an average price of $34,700.
