Daniel H. Radzinski, 82, dies

Columbus, OH — Daniel H. Radzinski, 82, formerly of Albion, N.Y., died Oct. 21, 2021, in his home following a long illness.

He was born Jan. 27, 1939, in Albion, to Henry and Agnes (Daniels) Radzinski and had lived in this area all his life.

He was a member of Holy Family Parish, the Albion Lodge BPO Elks-1006, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree.

He served as a racing official with the New York State Racing and Wagering Board, was a former co-owner of the H&A Superette in Gaines, and was an avid and accomplished bowler.

He enjoyed watching baseball, football and Jeopardy and in addition to having an amazing sense of humor, was a great story teller. Most of all, he was a faithful and humble man who was very family oriented, consistently putting his family before all else.

Mr. Radzinski is survived by his wife of 49 years, Deborah; son, Ryan; daughter, Mary (Mark Rittenmeyer); sister-in-law, Pauline; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald “Butch.”

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Ave., Albion, Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Parish. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
