Blue Devil scores lifetime mark in DSBF preliminary
November 30, 2021,Dover, DE — Three-year-old trotting colts and geldings kicked off their Delaware Standardbred Breeders’ Fund series at Dover Downs with a pair of $20,000 divisions on Tuesday (Nov. 30).
The first race saw the previously undefeated Big Al M and Eric Davis cut the mile, only to be passed in the line by Blue Devil and driver Montrell Teague in 1:57.1. It was a new lifetime mark for the Anders Bluestone-Overnight Hit gelding, whom Adrian Wisher trains, Elite Harness Racing LLC owns, and Art Stafford Jr. bred.
In race two, Rhett got away third, assumed command in front of the grandstand, and led to the wire in 1:59.1 in rein to Corey Callahan. Someofmygoodtime was second, followed by Marvin B Swift. Trainer Don Wiest bred Rhett, a Keystone Activator-Lake Serena gelding, and shares ownership with his son David.
Sophomore pacing fillies highlight the Wednesday night (Dec. 1) card. Post time is 4:30 p.m.
