The 5-year-old Calgary Games, who was undefeated in six races in 2021, has been voted Horse of the Year in Sweden.

Calgary Games, trained by Timo Nurmos, won the Swedish Trotting Derby as well as the UET Grand Prix.

“Calgary Games is for me, not just Horse of the Year – he is the horse of my life,” said the trainer, who also developed Readly Express, Derby winner and Prix d’Amerique winner and the sire of Calgary Games!

Calgary Games was also named 4-year-old trotter and Don Fanucci Zet – the winner of the Elitlopp 2021, named elder trotter of the year.

Trainer of the year was Per Nordström and driver of the year was Ôrjan Kihlström.
