Pompano forced to cancel after fourth race Sunday

Pompano Beach, FL – Torrential rains forced Pompano Park to cancel the remainder of its Sunday (Feb. 27) program after the fourth race.

While the cancellation forced refunds on the track’s Pick-6—rules state that three legs must be contested—the Pick-5, with the first four legs contested, was paid with an “ALL” in the final leg.

Racing continues on Monday (Feb. 28) with the finals of the Italian-American Amateur Challenge, a Pick-6 carryover, a Super Hi-5 jackpot of $20,500 and a $15,000 Pick-4 guaranteed pool highlighted by an industry low 12 percent takeout.

Post time is set for 7:20 p.m.
