Boom Dynamite, Sweetlies N Alibis win final Paver Memorial preliminaries

Lebanon, OH – Boom Dynamite (Tony Hall) established himself as the favorite for the $25,000 championship leg of the Ray Paver Sr. Memorial Series at Miami Valley by trotting to a second straight triumph on Wednesday (March 8). His 1:56.1 effort, a lifetime best, bested Harry Carry (Austin Hanners) and Secret Or Not (Trevor Smith). The 4-year-old son of Broadway Hall will take a three race win streak into the lucrative final next Wednesday (March 16) for owner-trainer Kim Dailey and partners Randy Leopard and Todd Woodruff.

Sweetlies N Alibis (Chris Page) earned her spot behind the championship leg starting gate by winning the other split in 1:57. The 4-year-old daughter of Deep Chip, who got parked during a quick first quarter in the first preliminary leg and failed to get a check, rebounded well to triumph over Wegoforthefront (Dan Noble) and Cheesy Hanover (Tyler Smith). The winner and the runner-up were both in do-or-die situations as they needed a minimum of third place finishes to make the lineup for the championship tilt. Sweetlies N Alibis is trained by Daren Harvey for the Sweiger Stable.

The nine highest money winners in the first two preliminary legs of the Paver Memorial will contest the final. They are: Boom Dynamite, Sweetlies N Alibis, Sly Little Fox, Cheesy Hanover, Harry Carry, Wegoforthefront, Orion’s Star, MJ’s Libertyvalance and Secret Or Not. Should any of the top nine decline to enter then ER Nelson would be next in line.
Miami Valley will race on Thursday (March 10) with the normal 4:05 p.m. post time, then be dark until resuming the Sunday through Thursday schedule on March 13.
