Argonaut added in final week of Defiance County auction

Edgerton, OH – The Defiance County (Ohio) Area Horsemen’s Association has added the Indiana trotting stallion Argonaut (Chapter Seven-Yalta Hanover) to their list of stallions in the final week of their silent auction for free breedings. Argonaut provides his services at Royal Equine Acres of Topeka, Ind.

Argonaut joins the Ohio pacing stallions Mr Apples (Bettor’s Delight-Never In Paris) and Racing Hill (Roll With Joe-Chasing Ideals), the Indiana trotting stallion Keystone Blitz (Andover Hall-Armbro Blusher), the Indiana pacing stallion Best In Show (Bettor’s Delight-Put On A Show), the Ontario pacing stallion Dancin Lou (Sweet Lou-Dancewiththebest), and the Kentucky stallion Boston Red Rocks (Rocknroll Hanover-McGibson) in the auction.

Bids on all stallions close at 5 p.m. on Friday (March 25). At that time, the person with the second-highest bid will have the opportunity to raise his or her bid. The bidding will continue between the two highest bidders until one drops out.

The winning bidder on each stallion must pay the Defiance County Area Horsemen’s Association 10 percent of the winning bid or $100, whichever is greater, before the mare is bred. The winning bidder must pay the Association the balance of the winning bid when the mare foals in 2023.

Bids on all stallions may be phoned to Bill Peters at 419.630.5952 or e-mailed to trudypeters@williams-net.com.

Any breedings not receiving successful bids by 5 p.m. on March 25 may still be available after that date.
