Italian 2-year-old filly wins in new European record

The 2-year-old Italian filly East Asia, with Andrea Farolfi, won an elimination of the Gran Premio Anact Filly at the La Maura track in Milan Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 25) in 1:56.1f — a new European record.

The old record was held by the Dutch trotter Novato (sired by Maharajah) and was 1:56.3f.

East Asia is sired by Ready Cash and out of the Pine Chip mare Elvezia. She is trained by Mauro Baroncini and owned by Jean Pierre Barjon, the president of the French trotting association, Le Trot.

East Asia was a 64,000 Euro yearling.
