Meadows Monday Memo

Washington, PA — Here is this week’s Meadows Monday Memo.

NO RACING THIS WEEK
Just a reminder that there is no live racing at The Meadows this week due to a planned closure for track maintenance. Racing will resume on Wednesday (April 12) at 12:45 p.m. The Casino and the Racebook remain open.

FOUR-DAY RACING
When we return on April 12, it will mark the beginning of four-day per week racing through the spring and summer, with action on Wednesday through Saturday.

HANDLE INCREASING
The final three cards of the “winter meet” at The Meadows, March 29-31, resulted in $2.3 million in handle, including a figure of more than $830,000 on Friday (March 31).

The Meadows Racing would like to thank all of the horse owners, trainers and drivers that have helped to make the first three months of the racing season a success, along with the horseplayers that have responded positively to the changes that have been made in the wagering format in 2023.

We look forward to continuing this positive trend into the remainder of the Spring as we move into our expanded schedule and stakes season.
