NAADA makes contribution of $5,000

Yonkers, NY — Today, the North American Amateur Drivers Association, Ltd. (NAADA) made a contribution of $5,000, equally split between The Sullivan County Federation for the Homeless and the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame in Goshen, N.Y.

Alan Schwartz, a NAADA official and Vietnam veteran, stated, “I am quite passionate about seeing to the well-being of the homeless veterans in Sullivan County, the site of Monticello Raceway where NAADA hosts amateur events. I know that all of our members feel the same way about the individuals who have served our country so admirably. Additionally, the Hall of Fame is an important and integral part of our industry and merits the assistance of all who participate in our great sport.”

As always, these contributions are sourced from the starting fees of NAADA members and from the forfeited five percent that would otherwise go to the members for their driving efforts.

“Amateur racing has flourished in recent years and is happy to give something back to these two quite worthy entities on behalf of the membership,” said Joe Faraldo, NAADA’s founder.

Previously, NAADA has made contributions to New Vocations and the Standardbred Transition Alliance and encourages others to do the same.
