Once Brady Brown gave Sandbetweenmytoes a 29.1 second-quarter breather, the 6-year-old Somebeachsomewhere-Galleria gelding had the field at his mercy. He cooked the back half in 55.1 to triumph in 1:52, 1-3/4 lengths better than Double Up N in the Lightning Lane. The pocket-sitting The Night’s Watch finished third.

Dirk Simpson trains the winner, who pushed his career bankroll to $731,042, for Greg Luther Racing LLC.

In Friday’s co-feature, a $12,100 Conditioned Trot, Windsong Patriot led every step to score for Hunter Myers and trainer Melanie O’Donnell, who owns the 7-year-old E L Titan-Windsong Idol gelding with Corey Hendricks. Windsong Patriot now boasts lifetime earnings of $220,810. Mystical Peter and Rose Run Xcentric rounded out the ticket.

Dave Palone collected six wins on the 13-race card, giving him 11 for the week, while Myers enjoyed a triple.

Live racing at The Meadows resumes Wednesday (Nov. 8) when the program features a $1,255.48 carryover in the Early Pentafecta (race 4). First post is 12:45 p.m.
