Banderas Bi with Alessandro Gocciadoro won the Oslo Grand Prix

Bjekre, NO — 7-year-old Italian trotter, Banderas Bi with Alessandro Gocciadoro enjoyed a pocket trip in the Oslo Grand Prix Sunday (June 9) afternoon at Bjerke and finished strong to win by half a length followed by Kentucky the Swedish pair, Kentucky River with ôrjan Kihlström and  long leading Joviality with Erik Adielsson to win in 1.53.2f.

The purse for the winner was 1.2 mio. NOK.

Banderas Bi sired by the Frensch stallion, Ganymede, who himself won the Oslo Grand Prix in 1999 with Jean Pierre Dubois in the bike!

There was some drama before the race.

Shortly before off time the track veterinarian was close to scratch Banderas Bi from the race because of a little wound at the bottom of the right front leg, but Banderas Bi was allowed to race.
