Jazzy Image takes 1:52.2 life mark in Meadows feature

by Evan Pattak, for The Meadows

Washington, PA — Jazzy Image held off the determined uncovered bid of Sandy Win and drew off late to capture Tuesday’s (July 10) feature at The Meadows, a $13,000 Filly & Mare conditioned pace, in a career-best 1:52.2.

After gaining the early lead and yielding to Eiffel Tower, Jazzy Image retook past the quarter for Tony Hall and soon had to deal with Sandy Win, who was seeking her third straight victory. Once Jazzy Image disposed of her persistent challenger, the 4-year-old daughter of Rockin Image-Yeahyou’reright had clear sailing, downing the rallying Dime A Dance by two lengths while Sandy Win saved show.

Trent Stohler trains Jazzy Image, who now boasts a lifetime bankroll of $126,631, for Trent Stohler Stable Inc.

In Tuesday’s companion feature, a $13,000 conditioned trot, Classic Banker won a three-ply battle for early supremacy and made that lead stand up, scoring in 1:55.4 for Jim Pantaleano and owner/trainer Joe Urban. The 8-year-old Classic Photo-Banker’s Review gelding extended his career earnings to $163,010.
