Buckeye Stallion Series resumes Tuesday at Scioto Downs

Columbus, OH — Tuesday afternoon (July 3) at Eldorado Scioto Downs, 35 trotting colts will make their debut in the first 2-year-old division of the Buckeye Stallion Series.

Uncle Peter is the sire of five of these colts: Uncle Amos and Favorite Uncle in race one, Buba Can Dance and Pompano-Pete in race five and Master Man in race seven.

In the first race, Mark C Adams (Dejarmbro–Lotstoliveupto) had his first start at Ottawa on June 26, where he finished second. Ondine (Wishing Stone–Village Ballet) also had his first start at Ottawa on June 26 where he won in 2:06.

Race two will see five previous starters. Hall N Bro (Dejarmbro–Hall-N-Flori) raced June 11 at Paulding where he had his first start and win in 2:16.1. Joe Gotta Go (Neely Dunn–My Chere) began his career at Circleville on June 26 where he finished in third. Stars An Stones (Wishing Stone–A Star For Sidney) had his first start at Ottawa on June 26 where he also finished third.

This is the third start for Bat Chip Crazy (Uncle Peter–Dance Girl Dance) as he will start in race five. At Circleville, Bat Chip Crazy finished in third in 2:07.3 and at Ottawa he was second in 2:12.1 Also in race five is Sv Payton Place (Wishing Stone–Miss Payton) who will make his second start. His last start was at Ottawa where he won in 2:12.1.

Race seven will see Norwegian Dad (Uncle Peter–Nicole Kraft). This is his second start. His first start was at The Meadows where he finished a close second in 2:01.1 and earned $1,875.

The 2-year-old trotting colts will lead an afternoon of exciting races Tuesday. Don’t miss it.
