Murmur Hanover surpasses $800,000 earnings mark

Harrington, DE — Zippett Racing Stables’ Murmur Hanover ($8.80, Victor Kirby) was a wire-to-wire winner in 1:55.4 Wednesday (June 27) at Harrington Raceway in the $17,500 Open Trot.

The venerable 8-year-old held off NF Happenstance and Blownoutofthewater for the win. Trained by Jay Gannon, Murmur Hanover obtained his 30th career win and surpassed $800,000 in career earnings. It was his sixth win of the year and fourth of the Harrington meet.

On the undercard, Royal Becca J ($2.80, Jack Parker Jr.) was a 1:56.1 winner for James Moore III in the $11,000 Open II Trot. All Shoes On Deck was second with Wingus third.

Trainer Bart Bradley racked up three wins on the 11-race card for owners Louis Catana and Vincent Bradley.

Harrington Raceway now goes on hiatus until the annual Governor’s Day program on July 26 (special 7 p.m. post time). The meet will then resume on Aug. 20.
