Harrington, DE — The opening round of Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund stakes action for 3-year-olds will get underway this week at Harrington Raceway with six $20,000 divisions.

The pacing colts and geldings are up first, beginning Monday (June 11) with two divisions. George Leager’s Slick Tony (3-2, Russell Foster) has been the scourge of the group to date with an impressive 11-for-15 win record.

Pacing fillies will highlight the Tuesday (June 12) program with a pair of divisions. Brent Outten, Green Racing and Richard Lombardo’s Go Sandy Go (9-5, Jason Green) will look to sweep the final events after winning her final at Dover Downs in March.

The trotters are in action Wednesday (June 13) with one division each for fillies and colts. Leigh Raymer, Stephen Moss and Stacy Johnson-Stafford’s Super Fly (Art Stafford Jr.) won his final at Dover by an astounding 14 lengths. Déjà vu Blue, owned by Howard Taylor, Tom Lazzaro, Mike Casalino Jr. and Dylan Davis, has traded blows with Serendipity Stable’s Star Sapphire and are among the field of six trotting fillies.

Following two rounds of eliminations, the $100,000 finals will be contested on July 26 (special 7 p.m. post time), the annual Governor’s Day program during the Delaware State Fair.

Live racing continues on a Monday through Wednesday schedule until June 27. Post time is 5 p.m.
