Buckeye Stallion Series continues at Scioto Downs Friday

Grove City, OH — The Buckeye Stallion Series continues with the second leg at Eldorado Scioto Downs on Friday (June 1). Four divisions with ten 3-year-old filly pacers each will be on Friday night’s card.

In race two, Our Miss Reese will be competing for her second Buckeye Stallion Series win. The Art Official filly won her division in the 3-year-old filly pace at Miami Valley Raceway on May 7. Our Miss Reese is bred and owned by Sawgrass Farms. She is trained and will be driven by Hugh Beatty.

Race seven will feature another previous 2018 Buckeye Stallion Series winner at Miami Valley from May 7. Velocity Gretchen will be racing with Mark Evers handling the training and driving. The Art’s Chip filly is bred and owned by Velocity Standardbreds.

Kay Again, a Dragon Again filly, in also in race seven. She won a leg of the Ohio Sire Stakes last summer, then this April won her elimination of the James Hackett Memorial at Miami Valley Raceway. Kay Again is bred and owned by Alan Keith and trained by Mike Roth.

Just Zip It will be in race 10. Owned and bred by Keith Crawford, this Cheyenne Rei filly won two Buckeye Stallion Series races in 2017 as a 2-year-old. She will be racing with trainer Keith Crawford in the sulky.

Velocity McSweets just came off two wins at Scioto Downs for trainer and owner Steve Carter. The McArdle filly will be competing in race 11, the final division of Buckeye Stallion Series for the evening.
