Giveitgasandgo impressive at Solvalla

Giveitgasandgo, who was sold to Norwegian connections in November of last year, has adapted very well to the European style of racing and Sunday afternoon (May 27) the 4-year-old son of Yankee Glide was a very impressive winner at Solvalla in 1:51.4f for top Swedish driver Erik Adielsson.

Giveitgasandgo was a very impressive winner at Solvalla in 1:51.4f for top Swedish driver Erik Adielsson.

This was the third start for Giveitgasandgo, who now is trained by leading Norwegian trainer Frode Hamre and owned by Rebecca and Erik Christoffersen.

In his first two races in Europe Giveitgasandgo finished second, but in one of the races he was beaten by none other than Ringostarr Treb, who won the Elitlopp Sunday.

In the United States Giveitgasandgo was campaigned by John Butenschoen and took a mark of 1:52.1 and earned $428,364.

The win Sunday at Solvalla was worth $50,000.

Second behind Giveitgasandgo, beaten 3-1/2 lengths, was King Of The Hill, driven by Hans G. Eriksson.
