Fashion Showdown springs the upset for her 23rd career victory.

Last week’s winner, Empress Deo, who went off at 2-to-1 odds, set the fractions from post seven of :28, :56.4 and 1:25.4, but was collared late as Fashion Showdown found room down the passing lane for her third win of the season. Fashion Showdown sat in the pocket throughout and received a perfect stalking journey.

Trained by her owner, it was her 23rd career win.

In the sixth race, driver Ross Wolfenden brought home the biggest price so far in the meet when Windup West ($113) uncorked a huge rally to prevail in her local debut for trainer Kay Gannon.

Morgan had three winners on the program.
