Freehold, NJ — On Saturday (March 10) in honor of St. Paddys Day, Freehold Raceway will be the scene of a special race featuring eight drivers of Irish heritage.

The race will be sponsored by Peter and Mary Grandich of Freehold, N.J. (www.petergrandich.com).

Mary Grandich was born and raised in Ireland and the couple were later married there. They both share a deep connection to Ireland and the Irish culture.

Drivers “Irish” Joe Hanney, George Brennan, Jim Marohn Jr., Bob Bresnahan, Jim Marshall III, Kevin McDermott, Mark MacDonald and Ron Burke will be going to post for the seventh race on the card.
