Event to bid final farewell to Jackson Raceway

Columbus, OH — Mlive.com is reporting on a July 8 event that could be the last harness racing at the Jackson County Fairgrounds in Michigan.

Former Jackson County Commissioner Mike Way, long fond of the sport, is hoping to arrange five or six races, complete with beer and hot dogs, before the county acts on plans to destroy the track, turning the infield into the new fair midway and the south side into parking spaces to accompany a new fair events center.
