Dover, DE — The Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund spotlights 2-year-old filly pacers on Tuesday (Nov. 14) with two $20,000 first leg preliminaries at Dover Downs. Post time is 4:30 p.m.

In the first division, Bay Pond Racing’s Bunker Away, a second-place finisher in the DSBF consolation at Harrington, scored a wire-to-wire win last week with Corey Callahan in the bike. George Teague’s homebred Nozy Neighbor, a half-sister to famed Wiggle It Jiggleit, handled by Montrell Teague, raced gamely to finish third after trouble at the starting gate last time. Brendan Cook’s Studio Session, teamed with Jason Thompson, raced well in the Harrington prelims.

In the second division, Gracefullyforgiven has been awesome in all of her previous DSBF events and was an easy winner of the $100,000 final on the half-mile track at Harrington. Art Stafford Jr. is again in the bike for owner-breeders Jeff and David Clark. Darrell and Leah Lewis’ Pedal Power won both of her previous prelims before finishing third in the final, and will be driven by Tim Tetrick. Another Team Teague contender is Ibetyoucanwiggle, who finished second in the Harrington DSBF final.

After two legs, the top eight DSBF point getters make the $100,000 finals for colt and filly trotters and pacers on Nov. 30, the same day of the $300,000 (est.) Hap Hansen Progress Pace for 3-year-olds.

On the Tuesday regular card, NF Happenstance, a hard-hitting quality trotter in her youth, has returned to the races for trainer-driver Jack Parker Jr. Chip Moore picked her out of the William Weaver dispersal sale when she was in foal. After she dropped her foal, a Sebastian K filly, she was in such good physical condition that now at age 7, she is back racing. After a win last week, she takes on I Like My Boss (Allan Davis), a winner of two of his last three who starts from post one.

The $13,000 Winners-Over Trot also finds Bill Moffett’s Gillie The Kid (Stafford Jr.), Sunset Mike (Tony Morgan) racing for Lou Catana and trainer Vince Bradley, Indiana-bred Bluebird Rambo (Callahan) and Frank Chick’s veteran Awsome Valley (Eddie Davis Jr.).

Dover Downs now features a 50-cent Pick-5 wager starting with the second race through the sixth. A late daily double is carded for the 12th and 13th races.
