Saratoga Springs, NY — The New York Sire Stakes program will be offering a complimentary New Owners Seminar on Sunday (Nov. 19) at the Saratoga Hotel Casino.

The seminar is free of charge and open to anyone interested in learning more about owning a Standardbred racehorse.

The seminar begins at 9 a.m. and will cover topics such as:

• Types of ownership
• Rewards and risks of owning a Standardbred racehorse
• Selecting a trainer
• Training and vet bills
• Tax issues/incentives and other financial considerations
• Aftercare
• Role of the Harness Horse Breeders Association of NYS

Attendees will also receive a tour of the Saratoga Harness backstretch in addition to lunch and live racing. Seminar attendees are also welcome to purchase tickets to attend the New York Sire Stakes and USTA District 8 annual awards banquet that will take place that evening at the Saratoga Hotel Casino.
