Gloire Dream was a 1:54.2 winner in the Open Trot on Thursday.

The 6-year-old chestnut gelding, trained by Tyler George for CC Racing LLC, got away sixth for driver Jeremy Smith, moved up to fifth in the outer flow at the half, tipped three-wide and was fourth at the three-quarters, then finished strong to pass pocket-sitter Penn (Josh Sutton) and then the pacesetter Cantab Linday (Tyler Smith).

The 1:54.2 triumph was Gloire Dream’s sixth on the season and pushed his 2017 earnings past $60,000 in 24 starts.
