Swedish-trained Twister Bi captured the $1 million Yonkers International Trot in world record time yesterday, but there is another talented 5-year-old trotter from Sweden: Readly Express. In fact, Readly Express beat Twister Bi in the Jubilee Prize at Solvalla two months ago.

Readly Expresswon the Swedish Championship on Saturday and was followed home by Västerbointhenews.

Readly Express is lightly raced. He has competed in 22 races, won 19 and been second on three occasions.

While Twister Bi triumphed in New York yesterday, Readly Express was in Sweden, where he won the Swedish Championship at Aby – raced over 1-5/8 mile – in new race record of 1.55.3f (mile rate).

Jorma Kontio was, as always, in the bike behind Readly Express, who is sired by Ready Cash. He is trained by Timo Nurmos.

Readly Express will now be headed for France and the Prix d’Amerique – just like Twister Bi.
