Freehold, NJ — Freehold Raceway held the $50,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes Standardbred Development Fund Final for 3-year-old colt and gelding trotters Saturday (Oct. 7) afternoon.

Southwind Woody and George Brennan left from post position one to wire the field in 1:57.2, with a last quarter in :29.3. This makes lifetime win number five for the Rob Burke trainee bred by Southwind Farms of Pennington, N.J.

Southwind Woody has now earned $131,520 for the winning connections of Burke Racing Stable LLC, Our Horse Cents Stable, J&T Silva Stables LLC and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.

Frankie Mullins and Eric Goodell came in second while Backstage Pass and Jim Marshall III finished third.
