Five Standardbreds die in barn fire in Seaford, Del.

Seaford, DE — A fire that started around 7 a.m. Monday (Aug. 7) in the main barn at Trotter Farm, known to many as Dillards, in Seaford, Del., killed five racehorses trained by Mike and Brittany Bounds.

Five Standardbreds died in a barn fire in Seaford, Del.

They were 8-year-old pacing gelding In Front Charlie p,1:53f ($158,523), 2-year-old pacing filly My Lil Tater Tot, 2-year-old pacing filly Gangster Granny, 3-year-old pacing filly Standtuecemewin and 2-year-old pacing colt Ezekiel Kandu.

Seven horses were rescued from the barn, which had housed horses for a handful of local trainers.
