Nichols, NY — 38 Special will take the stage at Tioga Downs Casino on Friday (July 28) at 8 p.m. sponsored personally by Chairman Jeff Gural and his wife Paula.

Originally, the benefit concert was scheduled Saturday (July 1) but cancelled due to inclement weather. The veterans and military men and women within nine counties in the Southern Tier benefit each year from the concert’s proceeds. Jeff and Paula Gural did not want to let down our veterans, military or Tioga Downs patrons.

Thanks to the Southern Tier Horsemen, live harness racing that was originally slated for July 28 was cancelled to honor the veterans through this special performance. In exchange for their generosity, Tioga Downs will donate $5,000 to the veterans on behalf of the horsemen.

Together, Tioga Downs and the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group have set a goal to reach more than $100,000 to help and aid our veterans in the Southern Tier.
