Stickney, IL — Hawthorne Race Course will offer a $17,500 guaranteed pool on Thursday night’s (June 29) Early Pick-5 as yet another competitive weekend of racing action kicks off.

The popular 50-cent minimum bet, contested over the first five races of the night, was not hit last Sunday so it now features a carryover pool of more than $5,800 which will be added to Thursday night’s action. The 10-race program is expected to get underway at 7:15 p.m. (CDT).

That is just one of many big pools available to Hawthorne players each and every racing night as the season continues through September on a Thursday-Sunday schedule.
