Fear The Dragon takes over top spot in Poll

Freehold, NJ — Fear The Dragon roared into first place in this week’s Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll. The 3-year-old male pacer won last Saturday’s North America Cup, where Huntsville finished second and previously top-ranked Downbytheseaside was third.
Roses Are Red Stakes winner Lady Shadow remained No. 2 in the rankings while Armbro Flight Stakes champ Hannelore Hanover vaulted from seventh to third.
Huntsville slipped a spot to fourth while idle Ariana G dropped a notch to fifth and Downbytheseaside fell to sixth.
Goodtimes Stakes winner International Moni joined the rankings at No. 9.
The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll does not determine Horse of the Year. The U.S. Harness Writers Association votes in December on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.
Rankings based on the votes of harness racing media representatives on a 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis.
