Friday fun at The Meadowlands

East Rutherford, NJ — Friday night (June 16) at The Meadowlands offers mixed breed racing with camels and ostriches joining the Standardbred horses to compete over the mile oval.

The Standardbreds are well represented by a solid field of six trotters in the fourth race, a conditioned trot for a purse of $15,000.

Leading the way is fan favorite Market Share who with more than $3.7 million in earnings is currently the second leading career money winning trotter of all time in North America and will be driven for the very first time in 93 starts by the greatest money winning driver of all time, John Campbell.

Market Share was a 1:52.4 winner his last out and starts from the outside post six for trainer Linda Toscano and owners Richard Gutnick, TLP Stables and Bill Augustine.

There are 10 races on the Friday card with the ostriches set to go between races three and four and the camels later, after race eight.

Delicious BBQ is on the menu this week in Pink, so come early and hit the buffet while you enjoy the racing.
