Elora, ON — Grand River Raceway hosted its eighth annual Local Biz Night on June 5.

The popular event saw more than 60 people from 16 local businesses matched with a horse in race seven. Motion Electrical Contracting Ltd. was paired with the eventual winner Arrived Late. The Fergus, Ontario company received a trophy to display in their workplace, plus a staff party for 20 at Grand River Raceway.

Bob McClure piloted the post time favorite to a 1-1/2 length victory in 1:57.1. It was the pacer’s 17th career win and fifth this year. Craig Gilmour trains Arrived Late for owners Brett Wright and Connor Wright.

Local Biz Night is a joint-effort between the raceway, the OLG Slots at Grand River Raceway and the Centre Wellington Chamber Of Commerce.
