Broadway Donna makes her 2017 debut in the sixth race trot on Friday at The Meadowlands.

After a somewhat slow start to her 2016 season, Broadway Donna ran the table last fall with a dominant sweep of the PA Sires Stakes, Kentucky Filly Futurity and Breeders Crown finals to secure year end honors. She has won nearly $1.2 million thus far in her splendid career for owner/breeder Jules Siegel’s Fashion Farms, trainer Jim Campbell and regular driver David Miller.

Coming into the race off a pair of conditioning qualifiers behind the likes of Hannelore Hanover, Broadway Donna finds a pretty stout group against whom to launch her 2017 campaign. The competition is led by multiple 2016 Grand Circuit stakes winner Dayson, the razor sharp Opulent Yankee and a familiar foe from last season’s stakes in Fad Finance.

Broadway Donna and Dayson are both eligible to the $1 million Graduate Series which kicks off next Saturday (May 20) at The Meadowlands.

Friday is Italian night in Pink with a delectable assortment of dishes on the buffet for your culinary delight.

With summer on the horizon, the various outdoor events are beginning to populate the weekends at The Meadowlands. This week it’s the second annual Beerfest on Saturday.

Post time is 7:15 p.m.
