by Michael Carter, for Post Time with Mike and Mike

Elkton, MD — Post Time with Mike and Mike presented by BetAmerica is proud to announce their broadcast team for the 2017 Molson Pace coming up at The Raceway at Western Fair District on Friday (May 26).

Jessica Otten will be returning after joining the duo at Meadowlands Racing and Entertainment for the Breeders Crown this past October. Jessica is a sophomore at Mott Community College in Michigan. She is working on the completion of her first year in the Business Marketing Program which is her major. Aside from paddocking at Northville Downs, she runs their twitter page and helps to get tweets from horsemen regarding their horses in certain races. Jessica writes feature stories for the Michigan Harness Horsemen’s Association.

“I’m really excited to see who gets invited to the Molson Pace. It’s always a competitive race. I’ve been to London multiple times, but have never been to the Molson Pace. I’m super excited to kick off Grand Circuit racing with it and working with Mike and Mike again in 2017,” said Otten.

Garnet Barnsdale is a writer for Daily Racing Form Harness, providing expert analysis and selections for the WEG circuit. Garnet has written several media pieces and has also done extensive broadcast work. He has done his fair share of cameo race calling at a couple different tracks, using it as a hobby.

About joining the broadcast team again, Garnet says, “Molson Pace night is one of the best nights of harness racing all year here in Ontario. I am looking forward to being apart of the broadcast team for such a special event. Mike and Mike are an experienced duo who bring a lot to the Grand Circuit races going on throughout the year.”

“Jessica and Garnet bring a unique combination of youth and experience to the broadcast team. Garnet is one of the most successful handicappers in the game, while Jessica brings a horsewoman’s perspective to the broadcast,” said co-hosts Michael Bozich and Michael Carter.

Jessica will be responsible for working in the paddock and helping to do interviews of drivers, trainers, and connections of the participants in the race. Garnet will assist the duo in co-hosting the show while also providing analysis throughout the night’s program.

Post Time will be live onsite for a three hour broadcast on Molson Pace night which will conclude with the 2017 Molson Pace. The race will be the first of a strong 2017 live remote schedule for Post Time with Mike and Mike. The duo will be appearing at Hoosier Park and Meadowlands Racing and Entertainment throughout the year.
