Wanna Rock N Roll returns to winning ways at Buffalo

Hamburg, NY — After seeing her five-race win streak cometo a screeching halt last week, it didn’t take Wanna Rock N Roll ($4.90) longto get back to the winner’s circle as she went gate-to-wire in a season’s best1:58.2 to capture Buffalo Raceway’s featured $10,000 Open pace for the ladieson Wednesday night (Feb. 8).

Wanna Rock N Roll got back to the winner’s circle at Buffalo Raceway on Wednesday.

Last week, Wanna Rock N Roll had a troubled trip and settledfor a disappointing fifth behind My Tallia Ideal, snapping her impressive run.

But Wanna Rock N Roll (Drew Monti) turned the tables on MyTallia Ideal this time around.

Starting from the rail, Wanna Rock N Roll posted fractionsof :30.4, 1:00.1 and 1:29.3 over the good track and disposed of My Tallia Ideal(David McNeight III) by a non-threatening three-quarters of a length. Scarlet N Silk (RayFisher Jr.) took the show spot.

Owned by Rose Campbell and trained by Steven Kiblin, WannaRock N Roll (Rocknroll Hanover-Cams Leading Lady) is a 6-year-old mare that hasnow won three times in four appearances in 2017. The victory moved her seasonalearnings to $15,500 and $242,977 lifetime.

Larry Stalbaum had four wins in the bike while Shawn Graytripled. Trainers Gerry Sarama and Kimberly Asher each conditioned threewinners.

Racing will resume on Friday night (Feb. 10) at Buffalo Raceway with a10-race card scheduled for 5 p.m.
