PA State Horse Racing Commission announces new fee structure for 2017 Fair Stakes

Harrisburg, PA — On Thursday (Jan. 26), the Standardbred Advisory Board of the State Horse Racing Commission announced changes to the 2017 Pennsylvania Fair Stakes.

The new fee structure includes fee increases as well as the addition of two new divisions, Group A and Group B. The Quaker State events no longer will be offered.
A $750 late penalty fee must be made by March 15 of their 3-year-old season if the first 2-year-old sustaining payment was not made.

Fee changes include:
Yearling Nomination $5 increased to $10, due May 15, 2017
First 2-year-old sustaining payment $25 increased to $50, due March 15, 2017
Second 2-year-old sustaining payment $50 increased to $75, due May 15, 2017
First 3-year-old sustaining payment $100 increased to $150, due May 15, 2017
Starting payment for each event Group A, $75, Group B, $50
