by Shawn Wiles, for Monticello Raceway

Monticello, NY — On Monday (Jan. 30), James Devaux put on a driving clinic as he won six races on the eight-race card at Monticello Raceway.

The new tally of six wins for the day puts Devaux right behind Bruce Aldrich Jr. for leading dash winning drivers at the track. Aldrich leads the pack with 42 wins and Devaux is now second with 35.

Devaux reeled off five in a row starting from race two through race six. He took the second half of the early Daily Double with Nautilus De Vie for trainer Dawn Devaux. In succession his other winning mounts were Hang To The Riggin, Pen Drop, I Deal Vic and Rustys Flying.

His last win on the card came in the eighth race, where he guided Hollywood Jess (post seven) to win for trainer Dolores Basilone in 2:01.2.
