Meadowlands to offer first Thursday card of the season

from the Meadowlands Media Relations Department

East Rutherford, NJ — The Meadowlands picks up live racing this Thursday night (Jan. 26) and will follow the three cards per week schedule through March 9.

This week, it’s a nine-race program highlighted by a pair of the popular G-Note short series’ that will race a leg on each of the next two Thursdays with the most successful 10 making the finals on Feb. 8.

Three divisions each of conditioned trotters and $7,500 claiming pacers will kick off those G-Note events and the prospect of racing for the inflated final purse really intensifies the competition.

Thursday’s racing will be broadcast live via SNY, the official home of the New York Mets, Jets, and all things New York sports. “Meadowlands Harness Live” will air from 9:30-10:30 p.m. for seven consecutive Thursdays from Jan. 26–March 9. The programs will be broadcast in high definition and produced by the award-winning Meadowlands television department.

The horizontal pool guarantees are in place and the free program pages for the Late Pick-4 are available here.

Promotionally The Meadowlands is offering double points for Player’s Club members on the live races and giving away a popular Roku 3 streaming video player compliments of RTN.

Post time is 7:15 p.m.
