Participation in California Sire Stakes program available for stallions in other states

Sacramento, CA — With recent legislative bill AB 1796 passed, the California Standardbred Sires Stakescommittee has approved pacing stallion owners from Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa,Wisconsin, Maine and the province of Alberta, Canada, to register their stallions to the program, beginning with the 2017 breeding season.


To be eligible forthe 2017 breeding season, pacing stallions must be nominated to the CaliforniaSires Stakes program by the extended date of April 1.

Again, this is forpacing stallions only from the states of Minnesota, Michigan, Maine, Iowa,Wisconsin and Alberta, Canada.
