Washington, PA — The Meadows Racetrack & Casino will offer 195 live racing programs in 2017, up 5.4 percent from the 2016 total, with the final of the $500,000 (est.) Delvin Miller Adios Pace for the Orchids on Saturday (July 29), highlighting the season.

In most weeks, The Meadows will present four live cards — Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday — first post 1 p.m. each day. The season kicks off Monday (Jan. 2).

Adios Week, featuring the top performers in the sport of harness racing as well as a variety of family-oriented entertainment, begins Saturday (July 22), with Adios eliminations (first post 1 p.m.). The final of the Adios, one of the premier events for 3-year-old pacers, anchors a stakes-packed card that gets underway at noon.

Other highlights of the 2017 schedule include:

  • Five Friday evening cards, first post 5 p.m., including the Jan. 13 “Night of Champions” when The Meadows honors the top local horses of 2016
  • Special cards, beginning at 11:25 a.m., to complement each jewel of the Thoroughbred Triple Crown as well as the Travers at Saratoga
  • $5,000 total-pool guarantees, in association with the United States Trotting Association Strategic Wagering Program, for each day’s Pick-4 wager, a feature that proved popular with bettors throughout 2016
