Ideal Cowboy provides Tim Tetrick with one of four triumphs on Thursday evening at Dover Downs.

With the racing officials giving a two-second speed allowance due to the cold and strong winds, Ideal Cowboy was clocked in 1:50.2. Tetrick raced the American Ideal-Trend Setter gelding, trained by Jeff Baymond Jr. for J&T Silva Stables and Bamond Racing, to his eighth win of 2016. It was his second straight Dover feature, third in four weeks and fifth win in his last eight outings.

Tetrick started from post eight and got away sixth. The 5-year-old horse worked his way to the backstretch and then circled the field before pulling off to victory.

Bushwacker (Corey Callahan), in his first start in two months, finished second in front of Dancin Yankee (Tony Morgan). Bettor’s Edge (Yannick Gingras) was fourth.

In the $27,500 Delaware Special, Seventh Secret, a recent acquisition by George & Tina Dennis Racing, is no more a secret to local fans.

With George Dennis in the bike, the Allamerican Native-Secret Song horse, who finished second at 43-1 odds last week, set a lifetime mark of 1:50 beating Sweet Rock (Allan Davis) and Blazing Bobby Sox (Art Stafford Jr.) for his fifth win of the season, raising his seasonal earnings to $69,996 and 24,656 lifetime.

Corey Callahan took Arque Hanover right to the lead and led the rest of 1:50.2 mile to win the $18,000 3-and 4-year-old Open Handicap.

Abe Basen, Tom Lazzaro and Robert Cooper Stables own the 4-year-old Rock N Roll Heaven-A Pippin Hanover horse, who won for the sixth time this campaign. He has banked $79,500 this year and $304,861 lifetime.

Earlier on the card, Tetrick drove Bamond Racing’s Flem N Em N home in 1:52.3 in a $15,500 male pace. The 11-year-old Courage Under Fire-Equuos Franco gelding is a $769,005 career winner. Special T Rocks (Morand) was runner-up with Major Uptrend (Montrell Teague) the show horse.

Enoch, an altered son of Panpacificflight-Kieanna’s Angel, made it six-straight victories, with Tetrick at the controls in a $15,000 3, 4-and 5-year-old male pace.

Trained by Ron Burke, the Baldachino, Collura, Weaver Brucemi and Burke Racing Stable’s gelding has not lost since late October.

Enoch has now won $105,690 in this his first year of racing. Bad Gamer (Yannick Gingras) and Swapportunity (Jim Morand) finished second and third respectively.

In addition to Tetrick, Callahan was a three-time winner for the second day, along with George Dennis and owner George & Tina Dennis as well as trainer Joe Columbo of the Dennis Stable. Dylan Davis, Doug Lewis and Jeff Baymond Jr. and Baymond Stables had doubles.

Dover Downs is now dark through Christmas as Delaware harness horsemen annually observe the yearly holiday break week.
