SRF Prix d’Amerique trip has a winner

from the Standardbred Retirement Foundation

Millstone Township, NJ — The Standardbred Retirement Foundation’s annual fundraiser to win a trip to the Prix d’Amerique was won by Bud Hatfield.

An Ohio resident, Bud’s response was one of great surprise, stating, “I wasn’t expecting this.”

Involved in racing for more than 35 years in so many capacities, Bud says he loves the sport. Most recently he has enjoyed great success as the co-owner of Bar Hopping, who will be standing at stud very shortly.

Bud shared, “I worry about the animals we love after racing. SRF does a wonderful job.”

This exciting trip will include a four-day, three-night stay and include a trip to the Grosbois Training Center; the international cocktail party; a tour of Vincennes Racecourse; the Prix d’Amerique and more. SRF thanks all who supported this fundraiser.

“It is crucial to our being able to care for the 218 trotters and pacers under our complete care. We commend those who give back and hope others will follow,” says Judith Bokman, SRF’s Director.

SRF has a shortfall and many mouths to feed; it is their hope that tax-deductible gifts will be received before the year closes to help the horses who give their all.
