Bob Taylor, 77, dies

Columbus, OH — Bob Taylor, 77, a farrier at Rosecroft Raceway and Freestate Racetrack during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s and a Standardbred trainer for some 50 years, died in a hospital near Gettysburg, Pa., Dec. 14, 2016.

Mr. Taylor had worked with Standardbred racehorses since he was 15 years old. He worked for Earl Wagner as a teenager and Billy Haughton as a young man.

Funeral arrangements are not complete at this time.
