Harrington, DE — Jo Ann Looney-King’s Purrfect Bags ($2.40, Victor Kirby) was a repeat winner in Tuesday’s (Oct. 4) $16,500 Filly and Mare Open at Harrington Raceway in 1:54.

Purrfect Bags was a 1:54 winner in the Harrington feature.

Springforth, the 3-1 second choice, set all the fractions in the compact five horse field, but could not hold off a fierce late charge in the three-path by race favorite Purrfect Bags who hit the wire first, a head better than Springforth. Miss Me Yet was third.

Purrfect Bags, a daughter of Roddy’s Bags Again, registered her 24th career win for her owner/trainer King. The win also pushed Purrfect Bags over $106,000 in seasonal earnings.

Tony Morgan had four wins on the program. Kirby, Montrell Teague and Allan Davis each had a double.
